Frequently Asked Questions

Families looking for weekly or twice-weekly sessions who want to be well-supported, well-fed, and gently guided through the fourth trimester. I especially love working with:
First-time parents who are information-rich but experience-poor
Second-time parents (or “two under two”) who don’t want a repeat of a hard postpartum
Thoughtful parents without a nearby village who want one steady, trusted person in their home
-
Each session looks a little different. We’ll start with a check-in over a cup of tea and a nourishing snack, then decide together what would feel most supportive that day—rest for you, baby care, feeding help, house reset, food prep, or a mix of all of the above.

It depends on your family’s needs and existing support. Some families use postpartum doula care to plug into a strong village (partner, grandparents, friends); others lean on doula support when nearby family isn’t available. Many families find 6–8 visits over the first 6–8 weeks to be a helpful starting point.
We can always adjust as we go based on how you’re feeling and what kind of support you end up needing most.

Yes. I’m a cat owner and I love animals. However, I don’t offer pet care as part of my services.

Newborn and maternal health are my top priorities. I’m communicative about any illness in my household, I’m happy to wear a mask, and I can offer virtual check-ins if needed. I ask clients to let me know promptly about any sickness in their home so we can decide together whether to reschedule or adjust the visit.
