I’m Katherine, a Brooklyn-based postpartum doula currently completing DONA International’s postpartum doula training and pursuing certification. With a professional culinary background and years in food media, I support families in the fourth trimester with calm, practical newborn care; clear, judgment-free education; and deeply nourishing, realistic meals so you can rest and bond instead of managing logistics.

My work weaves together evidence-based newborn care techniques, lactation and newborn feeding fundamentals, and a deep focus on the physical and emotional needs of mothers during the fourth trimester. After navigating two postpartum periods myself and hosting a weekly new moms’ group for months, I bring both lived experience and community-building to my work so you feel truly held, not just helped, in those early weeks.

I live in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn with my husband, our 3-year-old son Bowen, 1-year-old son Roman, and our sweet cat, Babycakes. When I’m not wrangling toddlers or supporting local families, you can find me facilitating a weekly Mandarin story time alongside my husband, hosting dinner-and-game nights, or, when a calm moment appears, working on my latest sashiko sewing project.
